I think I started thinking up the AIR team (which was originally a pseudonym for my clique of friends, just like in the canon-verse story) when I was in elementary school, but I'm proud to say that the characters and plot have indeed changed for the better over the course of these years.

misadventures // the original canon-verse story
Kagami knows that her friends - the rambunctious Akira, the considerate Ayami, the mysterious Izuko, and the formidable Reiko - will someday go far. When a mysterious boy from Akira's childhood tries to fulfill a prophecy and a new student who seems to know too much uncanny information suddenly appear in their lives, the AIR team finds themselves trapped in a tangled web of promises and pasts better left untold.

Izuko and Reiko are too proud to let go of the potential that lies within them, and so the rest of the AIR team follows them through to ARIA, the assassin organization created and accepted by the unknown leaders of the mafia. They don't know why Izuko and Reiko hold the key to this deadly syndicate, nor why their rings are the reason why they have been sucked into a world of lies and deceit.

It's not a secret, but tensions have always ran high among the AIR team, and it's about time that they've snapped. Caught up in a quiet war of morality, the AIR team questions their motives and what drives them to hold the power that they do. Each side divided in half, they can only try to outsmart the enemies that have once been their closest friends.
reprieve : Satoshi and Reiko reflect on their past while the latter finds her childhood crumbling before her eyes.
affixation : Boriji wakes up next to Izuko one morning and tries to understand why they keep on coming back to each other time and time again.

you and me against the mountain : Boriji is rendered unconscious in an accident, which leaves Izuko to struggle with her feelings by herself. On the other hand, Boriji, useless in real life, comes face-to-face in a dream with a river goddess claiming to be the spiritual manifestation of the girl he loves. As Izuko waits for him to wake up, Boriji is forced to reevaluate his relationship with the girl with the grey eyes.
